Ensemble Lyrique
-앙상블 리릭-
Ensemble Lyrique is a Korean art song ensemble founded by Josephine Lee with composer Mirae Hwang and pianist Youkyoung Kim. The group was formed following Mirae Hwang’s first-prize win in the Composition Division of the 2019 Saeil Korean Art Song Competition.
After a successful debut concert at Maria Callas Hall in July 2020, Ensemble Lyrique welcomed new members: flutist Eunji Oh, violinist Kyuhyun Han, and cellist Youngeun Lee. In the same year, the ensemble released five debut digital singles--A Small Love Song, Ice Flower, All My Old Dreams, As the Wind Blows, and Little Bird—along with a special single, Cornelian Cherry.
Ensemble Lyrique is committed to creating and performing new art songs that reflect the stories of life “here and now.” They continue to curate art song concerts and perform Mirae Hwang’s art songs as well as classical works arranged for voice and chamber ensemble.
한국가곡 창작·연주단체 앙상블 리릭 (Ensemble Lyrique)은 2019 세일 한국가곡 콩쿠르 작곡 부문 1위 수상을 계기로 서울대 음대와 미국 신시내티 음대 동문인 작곡가 황미래, 소프라노 이윤정, 피아니스트 김유경이 뜻을 모아 결성하였다.
2020년 7월 ‘마리아칼라스홀’에서 성공적으로 창단연주회를 진행한 앙상블 리릭은 이후 플루티스트 오은지, 바이올리니스트 한규현, 첼리스트 이영은 등이 영입되며 현재 6명의 앙상블로 구성되며 데뷔 디지털 싱글 [조그만 사랑 노래], [얼음꽃], [내 옛날 온 꿈이], [바람이 불어], [작은 새]와 스페셜 싱글 [산수유]를 발매하였다.
‘지금, 이곳에’ 살아 숨 쉬고 있는 삶의 이야기를 새로운 가곡에 담아 연주하고 싶다는 앙상블 리릭은 계속해서 누구나 공감할 수 있는 시와 가사에 붙인 창작가곡을 중심으로 성악과 실내악의 풍성하고 다채로운 편곡을 통해 청중들의 마음속에 스미는 ‘가곡 콘서트’ 를 만들어 갈 예정이다.
